justify;\">De fret is een kleine, gedomesticeerde carnivoor die nauw verwant is aan de Europese bunzing. Hij komt oorspronkelijk uit Noord-Amerika en werd later door de mens in Europa ge\u00efntroduceerd als jachtdier en voor ongediertebestrijding. Tegenwoordig worden fretten ook vaak als huisdier gehouden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fretten zijn slank en beweeglijk, met een lang, slank lichaam en korte poten. Ze hebben een korte, dichte vacht in verschillende kleuren, zoals wit, bruin en zwart. Hun gezicht is spits en ze hebben kleine, scherpe tanden die worden gebruikt om prooien te vangen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fretten staan bekend om hun speelse en nieuwsgierige aard. Het zijn zeer sociale dieren die goed in groepen gehouden kunnen worden. Als huisdier zijn ze relatief onderhoudsarm en vereisen ze dagelijkse beweging en regelmatige bezoeken aan de dierenarts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hoewel fretten vaak worden gezien als schattige en leuke huisdieren, moeten ze toch worden behandeld als roofdieren. Ze hebben een sterk jachtinstinct en kunnen kleine dieren zoals vogels of knaagdieren aanvallen.
